WHAT IS WHITE DEW? 何为白露?

White Dew is the third Solar Term of Autumn period. It falls on 8 Sep 2023 (Fri). 

During this period, the Yang energy begins to reduce and the Yin energy increases. The differences in temperature between the day and night increases, thus it is easy to catch a common cold if one is not aware of  the changes. It is recommended to keep warm at night.

The lungs are considered the first defense, thus it is recommended to nourish the lungs during this period. In addition, one should eat moderately to prevent indigestion. 

白露是秋季的第三个节气,日期为2023年9月8日(星期五)。

今日起,阳气渐渐收敛,阴气渐渐增长。
此时早晚温差较大、容易诱发伤风感冒等疾病,或导致旧疾复发,因此切勿贪凉,晚上注意保暖。

我们推荐在此时养肺润燥,但不宜进食太饱,以免肠胃积滞,变生胃肠疾病。另外我们可以适当运动,加强自身免疫力,并且保持愉快的心情。

养生小帖士1: 大枣乌梅


Recipe:
Black Plums with Jujube Tea

Benefits:
– Tonify the Qi and boost immunity.

Ingredients:
– Jujube 15g
– Black Plums 15g
– Rock Sugar (Optional: add to taste)

Instructions:
– Wash the jujubes and gently break with fingers.
– Place jujubes and black plums into the pot.
– Add boiling water and simmer for 20min.
– (Optional) Add rock sugar to taste.

食谱:
大枣乌梅汤

功效:
滋阴益气,敛汗。

材料:
– 大枣 15克
– 乌梅 15克
– 冰糖 适量

步骤:
– 将大枣洗净,逐个掰至微裂。
– 将大枣与乌梅置入茶壶中。
– 在壶里注入 500 毫升的沸水,浸泡20分钟。
– 根据个人喜好,选择性加入适量冰糖。
