Minor Snow is the second Solar Term of Winter period. It falls on 22 Nov 2023 (Wed). Nature’s growth slows down as it is a preparation period for hibernation.
It is recommended that we align to nature and intake less amount food. However we must pay attention to ensure a balanced diet with adequate nutrients. We can begin to introduce tonics gradually in our diet.

在这个收敛的季节,应当少吃生发食物(尤其是辛辣食物),适合吃温性食物。此时节合理膳食、平补慢补更有补益效果。

Recipe:
Turmeric Tea
Benefits:
– Improve blood circulation, reduce inflammation.
Ingredients:
– Turmeric powder 3g
– Honey or Licorice (optional)
Instructions:
– Place all the ingredients into the cup.
– Add 200ml boiling water and simmer for 8min.
– Stir thoroughly and serve.
食谱:
姜黄茶
功效:
活血行气,通经止痛。
材料:
– 姜黄粉 3克
– 蜂蜜或甘草 适量
步骤:
– 将所有材料放入水杯中。
– 在壶里注入200ml沸水,浸泡8分钟。
– 搅拌均匀后即可享用。
Heath Tip 2: Acupoint Massage
养生小贴士2: 穴位按摩
1. Shenque Point (CV8)
Location:
At the center of the umbilicus (belly button).
Massage the acupoint with the palm of the hand. Rub the area in circular motion clockwise 9 times and anti-clockwise 9 times.
Optional: Use moxibustion over the acupoint for 10-15min.

1. 神阙穴(CV8)
位置:
位于肚脐正中央。
用手掌轻轻打圈按摩上述穴位,顺时针9次,逆时针9次。
或可艾灸此穴位10-15分钟。
