Major Snow is the third Solar Term of Winter period. It falls on Dec 7 2023 (Thu). The temperature gradually decreases. In Singapore, we may experience more rainfall.
It is recommended to keep warm, especially for individuals with high risk of cardiac diseases. We can also tonify our body with appropriate herbs. However it is important not to over tonify without a physician’s guidance.

今日是冬季的第三个节气,气温下降,是阴气最盛的时期。此时节养生,首要是保暖,防止寒邪进入身体,尤其是患有心脏疾病的人群。大雪也是进补的大好时节。进补时建议养宜适度、养勿过偏、勿营养过剩。

Recipe:
Kumquat Tea
Benefits:
– Promote Qi circulation, aids digestion, soothe the upper respiratory system.
Ingredients:
– Kumquat 2 pcs
– Honey (add to taste)
Instructions:
– Wash the Kumquat and slice it together with skin.
– Add 220ml boiling water and honey.
– Simmer for 10min and stir thoroughly before serve.
食谱:
金桔茶
功效:
理气解郁,消食化痰。
材料:
– 金桔 2颗
– 蜂蜜 适量
步骤:
– 将金桔用清水洗净,切成薄片。
– 将所有材料放入壶中。
– 在壶里注入 220 毫升的沸水,浸泡10分钟,搅拌均匀后即可享用。

1. Neiguan Point (PC6)
Location:
2 cun above the traverse crease of the wrist, between the two tendons on forearm. (2 cun is approximately 3 fingers’ width, ie. index finger, middle finger and ring finger.)
Massage gently in circular motion, or pound with fists lightly approximately 20 times to stimulate the point.

1. 内关穴(PC6)
位置:
在腕横纹上2寸, 掌长肌腱与桡侧腕屈肌腱之间。
轻轻打圈按揉或拍打上述穴位约20次。
或可艾灸此穴位10-15分钟。
