What is the 24 Solar Terms?

The 24 Solar Terms is a time system that is based on the observation of the Sun’s movement and the changes of climates over a long period of time. It was developed by the ancient Chinese and is added to the UNESCOs world intangible cultural heritage list in 2016.

In a year, there are four seasons- Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. During each season, it is further divided into six terms in which the climate differs.

How is the 24 Solar Terms related to health?

The human is a hologram of the Universe. Changes in the climate can affect our body, mind and soul. However in a tropical region such as Singapore where the change in the seasons is not significant, the impact is subtle. If we pay attention and observe the changes in the climate, we will discover that our bodies are closely connected to nature. Thus, by aligning our daily lifestyle (e.g. sleep patterns, food consumption and exercises, etc.) according to the climate, we can preserve our health in a more efficient and effective manner.

什么是二十四节气?

二十四节气,古称二十四气,是古代中国通过对太阳的天体运动与自然气候变迁的长期观察所建立的历法系统。2016年,二十四节气被收录在联合国教科文组织非物质文化遗产名录之中。

一年中有四季——春、夏、秋、冬。每个季节中又可各自通过气候变化细分为6节。

二十四节气如何影响健康养生?

人是宇宙的全息图。

气候的变化会对人的身体、心与灵魂带来影响。虽然在位于热带的新加坡,四季的体现并不明显,影响也相对不易察觉,但若仔细观察,我们仍然可以发现环境气候中细微的变化,并且意识到自己的身体是紧紧与之相联系的。因此,我们可以通过顺应时节安排自己的日常生活作息,达到更全面、更有效率的养生效果。
