How does Moxibustion benefit us during Cold Dew?
寒露艾灸养生之用
Cold Dew is a period when the weather is dry and cool. The lungs are susceptible to common cold with dry cough. Moxibustion therapy is useful in prevention of ailments such as the common cold and cough.
寒露时节,阳气渐退,天气更加凉爽干燥。此时燥邪之气容易侵犯人体耗伤肺之阴液,导致感冒与干咳等症状。艾灸在预防感冒方面有明显的效用。
Acupoint For Moxibustion
艾灸穴位推荐
1. Taixi Point (KI3)
Functions:
– Nourish the Yin energy
– Strengthen the kidneys
Location:
In the depression between the prominence of the medial malleolus and heel tendon.
– Hold the lighted moxa stick 2cm above the acupoint.
– Move the moxa stick in slow circular motion (radius distance up to 2cm from acupoint) around the point for 10-15min or until skin is warm and lightly flushed.
– Repeat on the other limb.

1. 太溪穴(KI3)
功效:
滋阴益肾,壮阳强腰
位置:
在足内踝尖与跟腱之间的凹陷处。
– 将艾条点燃后,在上述穴位上方距离肌肤2厘米处缓慢绕圈(以穴位为圆心半径2厘米以内)挥动10-15分钟、或直至上述穴位有温热感且肌肤淡淡泛红即可。
– 于另一腿穴位处重复上述操作。
