Lighter Heat is a period of heat with dampness. Moxibustion therapy is effective in expelling dampness in our body. It is important to note that the duration of therapy should not be too long to prevent too much heat entering the body.

小暑时期,天气十分炎热同时带有湿气。艾灸在祛湿方面效果十分显著。需要注意的是此时的疗程时间不宜过长,以避免导致身体上火。

艾灸穴位推荐

1.  Diji Point (SP8)

Functions:

– Expel dampness
– Strengthen the spleen

Location:

3 cun (4 fingers width) below the medial condyle of the tibia.

– Hold the lighted moxa stick 2cm above the acupoint.
– Move the moxa stick in slow circular motion (radius distance up to 2cm from acupoint) around the point for 15~30min or until skin is warm and lightly flushed.
– Repeat on the other limb.

1.  地机穴(SP8)

功效:
转运脾土,健脾渗湿

位置:
阴陵泉穴下3寸(4个横指),阴陵泉与内踝高点的连线上。
(*阴陵泉在膝下内侧胫骨内侧髁下缘,胫骨内侧髁后下方凹陷处。)

– 将艾条点燃后,在上述穴位上方距离肌肤2厘米处缓慢绕圈(以穴位为圆心半径2厘米以内)挥动15-30分钟、或直至上述穴位有温热感且肌肤淡淡泛红即可。
– 于另一腿穴位处重复上述操作。
