Awakening of Insects is the third Solar Term of Spring period. It falls on 5 March 2024 (Tue). There will be thunder sounds to awaken the hibernating insects underground.
It is recommended to maintain a healthy immune system with adequate protein, vitamins and minerals to prevent infections from the microorganisms.

今日起,天气转暖,渐有春雷,唤醒万物生长。此时的气候利于流感的传播,因此我们仍然需要注意保暖,饮食上注意多摄入植物蛋白质以及丰富的维生素,适当食用补养阳气的食物,增强自身的抵抗力。

Recipe:
Barley Water with White Hyacinth Beans
Benefits:
– Reduce inflammation.
Ingredients:
– China Barley 30g
– White Hyacinth Beans 15g
Instructions:
– Wash the ingredients and soak for 15min.
– Place all the ingredients in 1500ml of water in a pot.
– Boil the water over high heat.
– Turn the fire to low heat and boil for another 45min.
– Scoop into a cup or a bowl to serve.

功效:
清热利湿
材料:
– 薏苡仁 30克
– 白扁豆 15克
步骤:
– 将薏苡仁于白扁豆用清水洗净,浸泡15分钟。
– 将所有材料放进小锅里,加入 1500 毫升水。
– 开大火使锅内沸腾后,转小火慢煮45分钟。
– 盛入碗或杯中,即可享用。

1. Shousanli Point (LI10)
Location:
With the arm bent approximately 90 degrees, the point is located along the muscle extensor carpi radialis, 2 cun below the elbow crease.
Massage gently in circular motion, approximately 20 times to stimulate the point.

位置:
在前臂背面桡测,手肘弯曲,肘横纹下2寸处。
轻轻打圈按揉上述穴位约20次。
