WHAT IS BEGINNING OF AUTUMN? 何为立秋?

The Beginning of Autumn is the first Solar Term of Autumn period. It falls on 8 Aug 2023 (Tue). The warm temperature begins to decrease as the yang energy retreats.

In the cultivation of health, it is recommended to start nourishing the body with tonics.

立秋是秋季的第一个节气,日期为2023年8月8日(星期二)。

从本日开始,气温逐渐下降,暑去凉来。此时阳气渐收,阴气渐长,是万物成熟的时期,也是人体阴阳代谢出现阴长阳消的过渡时期。在养生保健方面,此时节是最适宜人们进补的时候。

Recipe (2 servings):
Red Dates Tea

Benefits:
– Nourish the blood and calming of the mind
– Boost immunity

Ingredients:
– Dried Red Dates 5-8 pieces

Instructions:
– Wash the red dates and gently break them with fingers.
– Add 200mls of boiling water.
– Simmer for 20min and serve.

食谱:
红枣茶

功效:
益气健脾、补血养肝、安神。

材料:
– 干红枣 5-8 颗

步骤:
– 干红枣洗净后,逐个掰至开裂。
– 将干红枣置入水杯。
– 在水杯注入 200 毫升沸水冲泡,即可享用。

1. Taixi Point (KI3)

Location:

On the medial side on the ankle, the point is in the depression between the medial malleolus and Archille’s tendon.

Massage gently in circular motion, approximately 20 times to stimulate the point.
